My name is Artur Kirieiev. Since 2002, I have had the privilege of serving the Lord as a worship minister, faithfully playing guitar in the worship team of Dawn of Life Church in Ukraine. For more than two decades, leading God's people in praise has not been a job to me — it has been a calling, and one of the deepest joys of my life.
My wife Svitlana has served the Lord alongside me for many years as well — in our church's dance ministry, in the teen ministry, and in the church growth and development group. Together, ministry has been the rhythm of our marriage and the spiritual home of our family.
In November of last year, the war in Ukraine forced us to make a decision no family ever wants to face. Together with Svitlana and our two-year-old daughter Emily, we left behind everything familiar and relocated to Slovenia, where we have been trying to build a small place of safety and stability for our little girl.
We came with only what we could carry, and with the savings we had managed to set aside over the years. Those savings have now nearly run out. At the end of this month our current rental contract expires, and we must move again. The new accommodation requires one month's rent in advance, a two-month security deposit, and additional contract and relocation expenses — costs that, on top of our daily living, are simply beyond what we can cover on our own.
I write this with great difficulty. Asking for help has never come naturally to me — for most of my adult life I have stood on the other side: serving, encouraging, and giving. But our daughter is only two years old, and she needs a roof over her head, a quiet bed, and a calm home. Svitlana and I have prayed long and carefully before turning to the body of Christ for support, and we trust that the Lord, who has carried us this far, will continue to provide through His people.
Any contribution — large or small — will go directly toward securing our next home and stabilising our family during this season of transition.
